📷 Step-by-Step Guide

How a Custom Photo print
comes together.

Two tabs is all it takes. Customise on one — orientation, headline, font, border. Pick product and size on the other. Upload your image, choose how it ships, done.

📷

Your image

Drag-and-drop or browse. Up to 50 MB JPG, PNG or TIFF — we'll show a quality bar so you know how big you can print.

Headline + caption

Add a title and subtitle beneath the photo, with 20 fonts to choose from — Regular and Handwritten.

Crop & rotate

Built-in crop modal lets you zoom in, rotate 90°, and reposition before printing.

Two clicks shorter

No date, no time, no place — just your photo. Two tabs instead of four. Made for speed.

The Two Tabs
01 Customise

Upload, position, add words.

The Customise tab handles everything visual: orientation, your image, the title and caption beneath, the font, the border, and a quick filter row. Every change updates the print on the left in real time.

Customise step of the Skylit Studio custom print

Orientation

Portrait or Landscape. The frame swaps and the matte rebalances itself for the new aspect.

Headline & Caption

Two short lines beneath the image. Title (e.g. "Your Title Here") and a smaller caption (e.g. a date, a place).

Font

Twenty families, split into Regular and Handwritten. Each tile renders in its own typeface.

Border

White, Beige, Dark Brown, Black or No Border. Each gives the print a different gallery vs. edge-to-edge feel.

Filter

Original, B&W, Sepia, Warm, Cool, Vivid — six tasteful colour treatments for the photo itself.

Crop / Edit

Opens a modal to zoom and rotate the image precisely (more on that below).

Orientation
Custom print in portrait orientation
📐 Portrait

Tall & traditional.

The default. Suits people, pets, and any photo you'd shoot vertically. Title + caption sit in the bottom matte beneath the image.

Custom print in landscape orientation
📐 Landscape

Wide & cinematic.

Better for groups, scenes and panoramas. The same matte/title layout rebalances for the wider aspect — the bottom strip is proportional to the print.

Font picker grid

Twenty fonts, each in its own face.

Six Regular families for clean wall art (Josefin, Prata, Spectral, Poppins, Playfair, IM Fell) and fourteen Handwritten faces for something warmer (Dancing, Caveat, Kaushan, Great Vibes, Sacramento, Parisienne, Alex Brush, Allura, Yellowtail, Satisfy, Pacifico, Aguafina, Tangerine, Pinyon).

Each tile renders in the typeface itself, so what you see is exactly what prints.

Crop, zoom, rotate — before it ships.

Tap "Crop / Edit" to open the editor. A zoom slider scales your image inside the frame, the rotate button spins it 90° at a time, and you can pan to nudge the framing. Hit Confirm and the print updates on the left.

Useful when the upload is tightly cropped — zoom out to give the subject a bit more room, or rotate a phone photo that came in sideways.

02 Product & Size

Pick your finish.

Two-tab design means everything ships-and-finish lives here. Pick how it ships, what size, and (if framed) what frame colour. The print on the left swaps to your chosen finish the moment you tap.

Product & Size step of the Skylit Studio custom print

Product Type

Framed (Black, White, Natural or Dark Brown), Print (260gsm photo lustre), or gallery-wrapped Canvas with hanging kit included.

Size

A4, 30×40 cm, 40×50 cm, 50×70 cm or 60×80 cm. Prices update with both the product type and the size.

Frame Colour

Appears the moment you choose Framed. Black, White, Natural Wood or Dark Brown — the print's wooden frame switches instantly on the live preview.

Live Total

Bottom-right total updates with every choice. Hit Add to Cart when you're ready.

Framed product type with Frame Colour picker visible

Framed unlocks frame colour.

Choosing Framed swaps the print preview into a framed version and reveals four wood finishes — Black for modern interiors, White for clean Scandinavian rooms, Natural Wood for warm Nordic spaces, Dark Brown for classic and traditional homes.

Print and Canvas don't show the Frame Colour row — it's only relevant when you're shipping a framed piece.

Ready to frame yours?

Open the customiser and walk through both tabs yourself. Every change is reflected on the print, and nothing is committed until you add to cart.
