LONDON · WESTMINSTER

Westminster Abbey, your way.

The Gothic nave, Hawksmoor's western towers and the medieval cloisters next to Parliament Square — rendered in 3D from real map data. Rotate, tilt and zoom to the angle you want, pick a colour theme to match your room, and we'll print it from our Manchester studio.

THE STORY

A thousand years of coronations, weddings and funerals.

The first abbey on the site dates to around 960. Edward the Confessor rebuilt it in the 1040s, and his church was consecrated just days before his death in January 1066. Henry III tore it down again and started over in 1245 in the new Gothic style, modelled on the French cathedrals of the time. Construction carried on for nearly three centuries; Nicholas Hawksmoor added the western towers in 1745 — the part most people picture when they think of the Abbey.

Every English and British monarch since William the Conqueror has been crowned here. The print you'll design centres the Abbey with Parliament Square to the east, the Houses of Parliament a few minutes' walk away, and the medieval cloisters and chapter house tucked behind. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

SHOWN IN 3D

Real Gothic detail, real Westminster setting.

Most Westminster Abbey prints flatten the building to a black silhouette. This one doesn't. The Abbey renders as a detailed 3D model — Hawksmoor's twin western towers, the long Gothic nave, the chapter house — anchored on real geographic data with Parliament Square, the Houses of Parliament and St Margaret's Church next door. It's stylised map art rather than a photograph, but the silhouette, scale and setting are real.

Pick dawn, day or dusk for the lighting. Pick a colour theme — classic ink, ivory, midnight, monochrome and more. Tilt the camera anywhere from straight-down to near-horizon, rotate to any compass bearing, zoom to the crop you want. Every choice you make is in the print.

WHO IT'S FOR

The wedding under the rose window, the Carol Service, and the country you came back for.

Some Westminster Abbey prints commemorate a specific service — the wedding, the christening, the carol service that became a yearly tradition. The customizer lets you drop a pin (or several) and the print shows them right where they belong on the map.

Others want just the Abbey, the square and Parliament — undecorated, framed, hung above a fireplace as a quiet record of a place at the centre of the country. Both ship from Manchester rolled, framed or canvas-wrapped.
