What’s in the kit?

1 × metal hanging bracket for the back of your canvas
1 × wall hook
2 × screws for securing the bracket to the stretcher bar
2 × nails for fixing the hook to the wall

How to hang your canvas

Choose the perfect spot

Hold your canvas against the wall to find the ideal height and position. Lightly mark the top centre of where you’d like it to hang with a soft pencil.

Attach the bracket to your canvas

Lay the canvas face down on a clean, flat surface. Position the metal bracket on the back, centred along the top stretcher bar. Using a small screwdriver, fix it in place with the two screws provided.

Install the wall hook

Line up the hook with your wall mark, then gently tap in the two nails at a slight downwards angle until the hook feels firm. Take care to protect your fingers while hammering.

Hang and level your canvas

Lift the canvas and hook the bracket over the wall hook. Step back and check it’s level. The serrated edge of the bracket allows for small side-to-side adjustments so your night sky sits perfectly straight.

Tip: This kit is ideal for typical plaster or drywall surfaces and the weight of a standard Skylit Studio canvas gallery wrap. For very hard walls (brick, concrete) or unusually heavy pieces, you may wish to use appropriate wall plugs or alternative fixings.
