Wedding Star Map — your questions answered
When should I order a wedding star map?
Same-day dispatch if ordered by 3pm UK time (Mon–Fri), then Royal Mail Tracked 48 arrives in 2–4 working days. For wedding-day delivery we recommend ordering about a week before to give a comfortable buffer — or choose Next Working Day at checkout if you're closer to the date. For post-wedding anniversaries or surprise gifts there's nothing to plan around.
Can I print the venue name on the map?
Yes. The customizer has a dedicated field for venue or location text — it prints underneath the star disc alongside the date and coordinates. You can override the auto-geocoded name with anything you like (e.g. "The Treehouse, Alnwick Garden").
What time should I use — the ceremony or the reception?
Most couples choose the time of their vows because it's the most symbolic. Others pick the first dance or sparkler exit — the sky rotates through the evening, so different moments will show a different arrangement of stars overhead. You can adjust the time in the customizer and preview the sky before ordering to pick the composition you like best.
Can I include a quote from our vows or song?
Yes. Personalise the map with up to four lines of custom text — vows, song lyrics, a line from your first dance, or a private inside joke. The customizer shows it live on the print so you can get the spacing right.
What frame colour suits wedding decor?
Natural oak is the most popular for rustic and outdoor weddings, white for minimalist or contemporary homes, black for bold gallery walls. Dark brown pairs well with antique or heritage interiors. Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube (A4 unframed ships flat) and fit any standard frame you already own.
Is this a first-anniversary paper gift?
It is — and a popular one. The first wedding anniversary is traditionally paper, and a framed star map on museum-grade paper lands exactly on brief without being a cliché. Many couples order on the wedding day and gift it at the first anniversary.
